August 2008 The Plough Summer Fayre, DormanslandDespite the downpour we were all determined to have a lovely day at The Plough Summer Fayre! Our specialities on the day were Beetroot & Horseradish Gentlemen’s Relish, fiery Little Devil Chilli and Tomato Relish, Country Courgette Chutney, our Famous Gardner’s Pesto, and a delicious Hedgerow Syrup packed with juicy blackberry and elderberries, which was popular at the Champagne and Oyster bar to add a fruity twist to chilled champagne. A local live band provided the perfect backing track to a great day. |

July 2008 Hildenborough Farmers MarketWild Garden, along with other stall holders, welcomed the opening of the Hildenborough Farmer’s market in July. It was a huge success and a lovely day was had by all. Dame Kelly Holmes and the Mayor of Sevenoaks were there to cut the ribbon and pulled in quite a crowd and a brass band really set the mood. Our Rocket and Basil Pesto went down a storm along with delicious Elderflower cordial as a perfect refreshing thirst quencher for a hot summers day. We sold out of our Nettle Tartlets and the spicy Wild Leaf parcels were snapped up too. The little luxury bath sets were a perfect gift idea and included a free sample of our Cooling Peppermint lip balm and Carrot & Coriander Seed Hand Salve. |

December 2007 Christmas Fayre, RyeThis saw the launch of Wild Garden’s Little Luxuries, with Christmas providing the perfect opportunity for people to indulge themselves or buy gifts for others. Festive Spiced Pomanders, pretty Heaven Scent Drawer cushions and creamy Oat Soaks for the bath, steeped with cinnamon, clove and orange or homegrown Luxurious Lavender, were all snapped up. Wild Garden provided seasonal food and drink for stall holders and visitors alike at this lovely festive event. Artists, jewellers and local craftsmen who specialise in working with natural materials all gathered from the surrounding areas, and a great day was had by all. Our festive menu included Wild Mushroom Parcels, Nettle and Stilton Parcels and a winter warmer - Spiced Winter Vegetable Soup. Bramble Tarts and Boozy Mince Pies and a delicious, indulgent foraged Sweet Chestnut and Chocolate Mousse Cake followed, that had everyone coming back for more. |

September 2007 Creative Natives Launch PartyCreative Natives is a unique outdoor parent and toddler group based in Winchelsea Beach. The afternoon was a great success, several stalls were set up on the day supporting local businesses. We supplied Wild Garden Soup from the seasonal glut of vegetables picked fresh that morning, and the foraged Hedgerow Jam Tarts and Apple Fritters, harvested from the site, went down a treat with the kids. |
